1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 cu.shortening
2 eggs--add one at a time
1 1/2 cup sifted flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. oatmeal
2 c. All Bran
1/2 c. nuts

You can substitute any cereal as long as you put in the same amount

Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs one at a time. Add flour, salt and baking soda. Mix. Add remaining ingredients, stirring by hand.

Bake at 350º for approximately 10 min.

My grandmother Mecke made these for us when Bruce and I were younger. I "borrowed" the recipe and made these all through my years at home. Not particularly healthy, but delicious!
