Creamy Mushroom Noodles Recipe

8 oz wide egg noodles
2 T butter or margarine
1 jar or one package fresh sliced mushrooms, drained
1 small onion, chopped about cup
t salt
t pepper
dried thyme
cup white wine or chicken broth
cup heavy cream
1 T chopped parsley


Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.
Melt butter in skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper and thyme.
Cook until onions softens and mushrooms brown about 4 minutes.
Add wine or broth, cook until most of the liquid is absorbed, about 3 minutes. Stir in cream, cook until bubbling, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, in serving bowl toss with reserved noodles, sprinkle with parsley.
