1 lb medium or old cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 cup water
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Beat together cheese and butter. Add egg and water, blend well.

Combine flour, salt, sugar, baking powder and paprika.

Add flour mixture, onions and parsley to cheese mixture, blend well.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake in 350 oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve hot or at room temperature.

May be frozen and reheated in 375 oven for 5 minutes.
