¾ c. packed brown sugar
½ c. sugar
½ c. butter (softened)
½ c. shortening
1 ½ t. vanilla
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
½ t. salt
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375°F/190°C.

In large bowl, cream sugars, butter, and shortening. Blend in vanilla and egg. Stir in dry ingredients until well mixed. Mix in chips.

Divide dough in four equal parts.

Put each part in one 6” Cast Iron Skillet and pat out evenly.

Bake for 20 minutes, cool for 10 minutes and enjoy.

Note: these cookies are baked in 3" cast iron skillets. They are HUGE and very tasty. Be aware that one cookie eaten by one person could be considered overindulgence.
