1 cup fresh raw peanuts,
1 cup sugar,
1/2 cup light corn syrup,
1 tsp. salt,
1 tsp. butter,
1 tsp. vanilla,
1 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine peanuts, sugar, syrup and salt in 11/2 quart glass casserole dish. Microwave on high for 7 1/2 minutes stirring well after 4 minutes.

Add butter and vanilla to syrup, stirring well. Microwave on high for another 2 minutes. Peanuts will be lightly brown and syrup very hot. Add soda; stir gently until light and foamy. Pour mixture onto lightly buttered cooking sheet. Cool.

(Roasted, salted peanuts may be used but omit salt and add peanuts after first 4 minutes of cooking).
