1 c. oatmeal,
1 1/2 c. boiling water,
1 stick margarine,
Combine oatmeal with boiling water & 1 stick margarine in large bowl. Let stand covered for 20 minutes stirring occasionally.

Combine and mix well the following ingredients;
1 c. packed brown sugar,
1 1/2 c. all purpose flour,
2 eggs,
1 tsp. soda,
1 tsp. cinnamon,
1/2 tsp salt,
1/2 tsp. nutmeg,
1 c. sugar,

Add to oatmeal mixture blending thoroughly. Pour into sheet cake pan and bake at 350 for 15 minutes or until cake test done.


Blend 6 Tbl. margarine with 1/2 c. sugar, 2 Tbl. corn syrup, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1/4 c. evaporated milk, 1 c. coconut and 1 c. pecans. Spread on cake and broil until brown.
