1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 1/2 cup water
2 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp soda
3 1/2 cup flour

boil raisins in water until dry, cool,
mix sugar, shortening, eggs and vanilla
sift dry ingredients and add to above mixture
mix well, add raisins and mix well
make small balls and roll in sugar
Bake @ 350 8-10 minutes, on greased cookie sheet
