1 c. quick oats
1 1/4 c. boiling water
1/2 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. vanilla
1 1/3 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt

Baked Frosting
3 T. butter
2/3 c. brown sugar
1/2 shredded coconut
1 c. chopped nuts
2 eggs

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Put oats in heat proof bowl. Pour boiling water over oats. Stir and let stand for 20 minutes. Cream margarine until soft, then beat in the sugars. Beat in eggs. Add cinnamon and vanilla. Sift flour, soda, salt together and add, beating well. Stir in oats mixture. Pour in 11X13 pan and bake for 45 minutes.

Baked Frosting
Cream butter till soft. Beat in brown sugar. Add coconut, nuts, eggs and mix until blended. Pour over the hot oatmeal cake. Bake 350º for 5 to 10 or until frosting is brown. Amen
