4 large cucumbers, peeled and thinly sliced
3 cups of white distilled vinegar
3 cups of cold water
2 cups of sugar
Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Mix liquid ingredients, sugar and pepper in a large bowl until sugar dissolves. Taste and add more sugar or vinegar as needed. Pour over cucumber slices and let marinate for at least a few hours (or overnight) before serving. There will be a lot more liquid than cucumbers, and more cucumbers can be added later.
