1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup sugar
1 square bitter chocolate
2 tsp butter
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup nuts

melt chocolate and butter, add milk, vanilla and nuts, stir into dry ingredients, place n]mixture in greased 8x8 pan
Mix following:
4 tsp cocoa
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
mix and sprinkle over mixture in pan
over all pour 1 scant cup cold water
Bake @ 300 for 40 minutes
serve hot or cold with whipped topping or ice cream
