1-1/4 cups flour
¼ tsp salt
½ cup butter
1/3 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbs milk
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 cup chopped dates
½ cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
1. Combine flour and salt, sift.
2. Cream butter and gradually add sugar.
3. Add milk and vanilla and stir in flour.
4. Blend in dates and nuts. Roll in 1 in. balls.
5. Place about 3 in. apart on ungreased sheet.
6. Bake in 300 degrees oven about 20 min. until light brown.
7. While still warm roll in confectionary sugar.
