"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

MEMORIES FROM DONNALEE (CATER) GEIGER: When my husband, Michael Geiger and I married it happened to be 2nd marriages for the both of us. His Dad, Donald W. Geiger said he went to one wedding for him already and he wasn't going to go to another! But his gracious Mother, Ruby came to Indiana along with his brother, Roy, who was his Bestman. Oh, the stories they all told me about their Dad scared the hell out of me! We decided we would go back to Oklahoma to "meet" Dad after the wedding, so on the 13 hour drive I was a basket case! We arrived and Dad was graciously waiting our arrival with camera in hand! He had that "look" they all warned me about and he was dressed in his daily zip up jumpsuit and ballcap and a beard that made "the look" even scarier! I reached out and gave him a BIG hug and he melted...I had him at Hello. To prove this, two months later he and Mom called to tell me that the Antique Lamp I so fell in love with while I was there was mine from Dad for Christmas that year. Obviously, I had him at goodbye too! I miss him!!
