1 pkg yellow Duncan Hines cake mix
1 pkg instant vanilla pudding
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup rum
4 eggs
1 c pecans

Mix the above ingredients & beat 10 min. Butter and flour a bundt pan. Chop pecans & press into bottom of pan. Pour batter over pecans & bake 350* for one hour....
While cake is baking...Boil for 2 minutes
1 stick of margarine
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
Remove from fire...add 1/4 cup rum
Punch holes in cake with toothpick and pour over cake while still hot.

MEMORIES FROM MICHAEL DON GEIGER:This was my brother Skip's favorite cake that my Mother baked for him every year on his birthday. I never knew this until late in life and Mom let the cat out of the bag! So, I made her give me the recipe and now my wife, Donna will make it for me. Who knew my brother actually ate cake!!!
