3 cups sugar
3 cups cake flour
2 sticks butter, room temperature
1/2 cups Crisco
1 tsp. vanilla
5 eggs- add 1 at a time
1 cup coconut
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar, Crisco, and butter together. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add milk and flour mixture, alternating each. Add flavoring and coconut. Grease tub pan and pour in batter. Bake at 325º for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Icing with following recipe:
