2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
5 apples
TOPPING: 1/2 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
2-3 T. butter, softened

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Cream butter & sugar. Add eggs, milk and vanilla; mix well. Add dry ingredients. Put batter in buttered 9x13" baking dish. Cut peeled apples in 1/8" slices; arrange in rows on top of batter. Mix topping ingredients, cutting sugar, flour & cinnamon into softened butter until crumbly. Spread crumbled mixture over batter and apples. Bake at 400º for 40 minutes.
