1/4 c soft butter
1/2 c sugar
1 c flour
2 tsp double-action baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c milk
1 qt fruit (No. 2 can)
1/4 to 1/2 c sugar
1 cup fruit juice

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease a 2 qt casserole.
Cream butter and 1/2 c. sugar until light and fluffy. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Pour into greased casserole dish; spoon berries or fruit over batter. Sprinkle with sugar and pour juice over all.

Bake at 375º for 45-50 minutes or util crust springs back lightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
