1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup cookie oil
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
dash of salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat together margarine and sugar with a spoon. Beat in egg, oil and vanilla. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, cream of tatar and salt. Stir into margarine mixture. Chill dough 1 hour or till easy to handle.

Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten to 1/4 inch with the tines of a fork, dipping fork in sugar. Bake in a 375º oven 6 to 8 mins.
