1 c Butter
2 c Sugar
3 Eggs
1 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda dissolved in 2 Tbsp of milk
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla or other
4 1/2 c flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar, add milk, soda, vanilla, eggs. Add to salt, flour
and cream of tartar( mixed together).. Add enough flour that the dough can be rolled.
Chill 1-2 hrs. Oven 350.

For icing I combine powdered sugar, corn syrup and flavoring (to taste). Most times I use vanilla
in cookie and almond in frosting.
