1 Challah bread, sliced
5 eggs
1 cup granulated sugar
3 cups milk or half and half
2 tsp coconut
2 tbsp raisins
SAUCE
1 stick butter
4 oz heavy cream
1 c powdered sugar
1 Tbsp BOURBON or vanilla

Directions:

Break up bread into a GREASED 2qt pan. Mix in the raisins and coconut.

Whisk eggs in a medium mixing bowl and add sugar, milk.

Pour liquids into the pan filled with bread and bake for 50 minutes at 325

For the sauce, combine all ingredients in a saucepan, heat and serve over pudding.

This is a great recipe to make for 10 or 100 people. I've never met anyone who didn't absolutely LOVE bread pudding, and this recipe is a real winner: its easy and delicious.
