2/3 cup sugar
24 walnut halves

Cook sugar in a large, heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon, 5 to 10 minutes or until melted and golden.

Turn heat off. Working quickly, drop walnut halves into caramelized sugar, 4 at a time, turning to coat. Using a fork, remove walnuts to wax paper to cool.
