Directions:
Pour granulated sugar into boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from burner and stir in instant coffee one spoonful at a time (Warning, don't spill on burner - sugar and water burn when hot). Place on burner and bring to a boil. Remove from burner and allow mixture to cool for several minutes. Stir in vodka. Split one whole vanilla bean lengthwise and place in 1/2 gallon jug. Pour the kaluha mixture into clean jug. Place cap on jug and leave sealed for 2 or 3 weeks to let the mixture ripen. Drink and be merry. Good for coffee, ice cream sundaes and kaluha and cream drinks.
