2 lbs. lean ground beef
2 cups bread crumbs
1/2 cup spaghetti sauce (your favorite kind)
1 large egg
2 tbsp. dried, chopped onion
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic salt
1/2 tsp. dried Italian herbs
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. spaghetti sauce

Directions:

1. Fold a 30 inch long piece of aluminum foil in half lengthwise. Place in bottom of crockpot with both ends of foil hanging over top edge of pot.

2. In large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, 1/2 cup sauce, egg, onion, salt, garlic salt, Italian herbs, garlic powder and pepper until well blended. Shape into loaf. Place in pot on top of foil. Spread 2 tbsp. spaghetti sauce over the top.

3. Cover tightly and cook on high for 2 1/2 - 3 hours or on low for 5 - 6 hours or until brown and juices run clear.

4. Use end of foil to lift meatloaf out and transfer to a serving platter.

5. Serve with spaghetti, any remaining sauce, salad, and Italian bread. Or chill and slice for sandwiches.

* For a healthier version, use ground turkey instead of ground beef.
