What chores did you have to do when you were growing up? Did you get an allowance? How much was it?

My chore was carrying in stovewood. We had a wood cook stove. So, I would have to "run get a load of wood". I would also feed the chickens.
I don't remember anyone getting an "allowance" then. We all had to work together and when we really needed something our parents would do their best to get our needs.
