1 cup butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 tsp cinnamon
2 1/2 cups flour, sifted
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup walnuts, finely chopped

Syrup-
2 3/4 cups water
1 3/4 cup sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Cream butter and sugar together. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each addition. Stir in cinnamon, flour, and baking powder. Stir in walnuts. Turn batter into a greased 10X14X2 inch pan and bake at 425 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tests done. Remove from oven and while hot, pour cool syrup over it.

Syrup-
Comine 2 3/4 cups water and 1 3/4 cups sugar. Bring to a boil and boil for 10 minutes. Cool.
