1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 egg white
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
1/2 cup crispy rice cereal
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cups sliced almonds

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together the butter, oil, sugars, egg white and vanilla. Sift together flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar in a separate bowl. Add the butter mixture and stir until combined. Fold in chocolate chips, cereal, oats and almonds.
Drop by heaping teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º for 10-12 minutes. (The dough can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. The baked cookies freeze well.) Makes 3 1/2 dozen. Substitute walnuts, pecans or peanuts or omit the nuts altogether.
