1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine or butter, softened
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking or regular oats
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 package (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 350º. Beat sugars, margarine, peanut butter, vanilla and egg in medium bowl with wooden spoon until creamy and well blended. Mix in flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 10-12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute before removing from cookie sheet. About 2 dozen cookies.
Outrageous Chocolate Chip Bars: Grease bottom of square pan, 9x9x2 inches. Prepare as directed - except spread dough in pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into 2x1-inch bars. 36 bars.
