5 medium yams (sweet potatoes)
3 cups sugar
2 cups water
1 stick butter

Directions:
Directions:
Add 3 cups sugar and 2 cups water. Boil down until syrupy, add potatoes. Add butter. cook slowly until soft and candied or sweetened through. Takes a good while to cook. Cook on top of stove or in oven about 350º
