8oz Self-raising flour
half level teaspoon salt
4oz Margarine
4oz Caster sugar
8oz Mixed fruit
2oz Peel
2 Large Eggs
4 Tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour and salt in a bowl and rub in margerine. Stir in sugar fruit and peel. Beat eggs with the milk add to dry ingredients and mix to soft consistency and turn into tin.

Topping
Melt fat in small pan.Remove pan from heat and stir in sugar flour and mixed spice and spread it over cake mixture.
Bake cake in centre of moderate oven at 350º for about 1 hour 30 minutes or until cooked.Leave to cool.
