1 1/2 c. almonds finely grated
1 1/4 c. powdered sugar
5 egg whites
1/2 tsp. each salt and cream of tartar
Chocolate Butter Cream

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar and almonds. Beat egg whites until foamy. Add salt and cream of tartar. Beat until soft peaks form. Fold in nut mixture. Turn into buttered 9' springform pan with removable bottom. Bake in 350º oven 30 minutes or until brown. Remove sides of pan and let cake cool on rack. Frost top with chocolate butter cream.

Chocolate Butter Cream - melt 4 ounces of semi sweet chocolate. Let cool. Beat 4 T. butter and 1/2 c. powdered sugar until blended. Mix in two egg yolks and 1/2 tsp. vanilla. Stir in melted chocolate.
