1 cup margarine
1/2 cup butter
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups flour
2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 3 ingredients.
Beat with heavy duty mixer.
Gradually add sugar.
Beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time.
Beat well after each egg.
Add flour and beat well.
Add vanilla.
Bake at 325º for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

This recipe was given to mom from a dear family friend. Speaking of family friends, I'm reminded of Annie Fields. She was a nanny to the Gladwell children for several years, which meant she cared for all our children. She was fiercely protective of Nellie, and we often remember her telling Nellie, "Eat your food. Don't you want to be fat like Annie?"
