1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 t. flour
dash salt
2 eggs
2 T. milk
1 t. vanilla
1 stick butter
2 unsweetened chocolate squares
1 unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugars, flour, salt, eggs, milk, vanilla. Melt butter and chocolate slowly together, and then add to mix and stir well.
Poor into unbaked pie shell and bake on a cookie sheet
in the middle of the 350º oven 40 minutes, or until the top is risen and rounded.

This is the Powell family favorite for Thanksgiving. The first one to make it at our house was Sarah Penn, 10 years ago, then we've made it every year since then. Now my son, John, is the resident expert Chocolate Chess Pie maker.
