5 Apples
1 1/2 t. cinnamon
1/2 Cup Sugar

Peel, slice thin, cover with cinn-sugar mixture and let sit.

3 Cup Flour
1 t. Baking Soda
1 C. Vegetable Oil
2 t. Baking Powder
2 t. Vanilla
2 Cups Sugar
4 Eggs
1/3 Cup Orange Juice
1 t. Salt

Blend batter for one minute at low speed and four minutes at medium spped. Pour into ten inch tube pan or bundt pan. Alternate layers - three batter, two apple. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours. Sprinkle top with cinnamon sugar for glaze if desired.

This is an old family recipe of Charlotte's - it came from Nova Scotia - where her family is from, not only is this a good desert, but, can also be used as a coffee cake for special occasions.
