Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Meatloaf part:
1 egg
1 cup milk
3/4 cup quick cooking oats (yes, I know... but trust me on this ingredient!)
3/4 cup Italian bread crumbs
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 tsp rubbed sage
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (I use a little more)
1 lb. lean ground beef (i use 93% ground round or ground sirloin)
--------------------------------------------
Now for the sauce!! (this is what makes it... even if you don't like ketchup you will like this)

3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup water
3 heaping tbsp brown sugar (I use a little more)
1 tsp cider vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (I use a little more)
===================================

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl, combine the meatloaf ingredients. Crumble beef over the mixture and mix well.
Shape into a loaf and place in a 11 x 7 x 2 inch baking pan.
------------------------------------
Now, in a separate bowl, combine the ketchup, water, brown sugar, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce;
then pour over meat loaf. Bake at 325º for 1 to 1-1/4 hours or until meat is no longer pink and a meat thermometer reads 160º. Let stand for 10 minutes before slicing.

This recipe can easily be doubled or made into individual loaves for easier serving..... enjoy!
