English Toffee

1 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
5 Tablespoons of Water
1 Teaspoon of Vanilla
A Pinch of Salt
Hershey's Chocolate Bar
Chopped Walnuts


Directions:
Directions:


Melt butter in frying pan. Add water and then stir in one direction only. Add sugar and pinch of salt. Let ingredients cook until it turns the color of brown that toffee should be (caramel brown) Then, remove from stove and add the vanilla. Stir and pour onto a pan. Let toffee cool (do not refrigerate) Once toffee has cooled completely, melt chocolate bar and spread on top. Add on chopped walnuts. Once the chocolate has hardened a bit, break toffee into bits with a knife.
