2 rib eye steaks
2 tbsp. oil
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
¼ c red wine
¼ c. water
1 ½ tsp. soy sauce
3 tbsp. butter, cut into small pieces
1 tbsp. chopped flat parsley
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Pat steaks dry. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp oil in large heavy skillet. Sauté steaks turning once about 4 min for medium rare. Transfer to plate and cover with foil. Pour off fat. Sauté garlic in remaining oil over medium high heat. About 30 sec. Add wine and boil stirring and deglazing the pan by scraping brown bits until reduced by half, 2 or 3 min.. Add water, soy sauce and any meat juices to pan. Boil until reduce by half. Lower heat to medium low and whisk in butter, one piece at a time until slightly thickened. Stir in parsley and pour over steaks.
