1/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1/2 c. melted butter, margarine or oil
1 1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. walnut pieces or raisins (optional)
1 c. chocolate chunks or peanut butter chips (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour a 9 in. pan, or larger if you like thinner brownies. Stir together the butter, sugar, eggs,salt and vanilla. Add half the flour. Stir in the nuts, chocolate or peanut chunks, if you are using them. Stir in the remaining flour. Bake 30 minutes and check to see if the top looks dry and almost firm to touch.
