2 lbs. beef, cut in thin strips
salt
pepper
5 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. flour
2 c. beef stock
2 tbsp. sour cream
2 tbsp. tomato juice or paste
1 grated onion

Directions:
Directions:
Salt and pepper beef and let stand for 2 hours. Mix 2 tbsp butter and flour till smooth and add beef stock. Bring to boil for 2 minutes. Add sour cream and tomato juice. Simmer. Brown beef in 3 tbsp. butter with the grated onion. Pour meat mixture into the sauce and simmer for 20 minutes.

When I was growing up we enjoyed having this meal. Generally, we used chuck steak or round steak for this dish.
