1/3 c. butter, softened
2/3 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/3 c. cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. miniature chocolate chips
1/4 c. chopped walnuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. Grease baking sheet.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, cocoa and baking powder and stir into the creamed mixture until well blended. Dough will be very stiff. You may have to stir the last by hand. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Divide dough into two equal parts. Shape into two loaves. Place on baking sheet. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool about 15 minutes. Using a serrated knife, slice the loaves diagonally into 1 inch slices. Place slices back on baking sheet and bake about 10 more minutes on each side until dry. Cool completely
