3-4 chicken breasts, bone in, skin on preferably (or use a whole chicken)
1 bay leaf
salt, pepper
2 cups assorted vegetables (use a bag of frozen mixed veggies)
2 10.5-ounce cans cream of chicken soup

For dumplings:
2 1/4 cups Bisquick
2/3 cup milk

Directions:
Directions:
Place chicken and bay leaf in a large stockpot and add enough water (or chicken stock) to cover the chicken. Cook over medium heat until chicken is done, approximately 30 minutes. Remove bay leaf and reserve stock.

Remove chicken from stockpot, when cool enough to handle remove meat from bones and shred or chop into bite size pieces. Put chicken back in stock pot, add vegetables and soup. Bring mixture to simmer.

Prepare dumplings:
Combine Bisquick and milk and stir until a soft dough forms. Drop dough by spoonful onto boiling stew. Reduce heat, cook covered 10 minutes. Uncover and cook an additional 10 minutes. Makes 10 dumplings.
