1 1/4 c margarine (2 1/2 sticks)
3/4 c Firm packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 1/2 tsp cinnamon
3/4 tsp nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream softened margarine and sugars
2. Add vanilla and egg; mix
3. Combine baking soda, salt, and spices to flour; stir this mixture into the batter
4. Stir in oats
5. Drop by rounded spoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet
6. Bake at 375ş for 10-11 minutes
7. Cool for one minute on cookie sheet, then transfer to wire rack or brown paper bags
