1 lb ground beef
1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped green pepper
2 8oz tomato sauce
1 8 oz drained whole kernel corn
1/2 c chopped black olives
1 clove garlic minced
1 tbs sugar
1 tps salt
2-3 tsp chili powder
dash of pepper

6 ounces medium or sharp cheddar cheese

Corn Meal Topping
3/4 yellow cornmeal
1/2 tsp salt
2 c cold water
1 tbsp butter

Directions:

Bake 375º

1. Cook beef, onions, peppers until done. Add tomato sauce and seasonings.
2. Simmer uncovered for 20-30 minutes or until thick.
3. Add cheese and stir until melted.
4. Pour into greased baking dish 9x9x2.
5. Make corn toppings. Into saucer pan stir cornmeal, water and salt. Cook and stir until thick. Add butter and mix.
6. Spoon cornmeal topping on top of meat mixture.
7. Bake for about 40 minutes
