1 lb ground beef
1/2 c chopped onion
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1/4 c snipped parsley
1 3 oz chopped mushrooms
1/4 tsp dried oregano leaves crushed
2 packages refrigerated crescent rolls
3 eggs
6 slices sharp process American cheese

1, Brown beef and onion and drain
2,Stir in next 4 ingredients and 1 /8 tea pepper and set aside.
3. Unroll on package of rolls and put squares together to make one piece. Roll together until it is a 12 inch square. Place in 9 inch pie pan.
4. Separate one of the eggs and set the egg yolk aside. Beat egg white with remaining two eggs. Spread half over the dough.
5. Spoon meat into shell. Arrange cheese atop and spread remaining egg mixture over cheese.
6. Mix remaining reserved yolk with 1 tbs water and brush on edge of crust.
7. Roll second package of rolls to 12 inch square and place on top of pie. Seal edges and trim.
8. Brush remaining egg wash on top of pie and make slits in top for release of steam during baking.
9. Bake for 50-55 minutes. Cover with foil if crust gets too brown.
10. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Looks complicated because of how the steps are written but goes to together fast and is easy. I like to double and put into a cake pan and take to pot lucks. Recipe came from a beef cookbook from years ago.
