6 ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
1 purple onion, finely chopped
1 cucumber, peeled, seeded, chopped
1 red or green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
2 stalks of celery, chopped
1 carrot
4 T. fresh chopped basil
2 cloves of chopped garlic
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup of olive oil
2 T. fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 T. sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp. worchestershire sauce
3 drops of Tabasco sauce
4 cups tomato juice (for spicy use V-8)

Directions:

Combine all ingredients. Blend slightly to desired consistency. Place in non-metal, non reactive storage container, cover tightly and refrigerate.
