12 large cabbage leaves
1 beaten egg
1/4 water
1 c cooked long grain rice
1/4 c chopped onion
1 1/4 salt
1/4 pepper
1/4 thyme leaves crushed
1 1/4 lb ground beef
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
1 tbs lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
1. Immense cabbage leaves (cut out center vein of leaf) in boiling water for 3 minutes or just till limp, drain.
2. Combine next 7 ingredients. Add beef and mix thoroughly.
3. Place about !/4 mixture in center of each leaf, fold in sides and roll ends over meat.
4. Place in large skillet. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over cabbage rolls.
5. Simmer covered for 1 hour basting occasionally. Remove cover for the last 5 minutes or til sauce is desired consistency.
