1 lb butter (no Margarine)
3 eggs
1 c white sugar
1 c brown sugar
6 c flour
2 heaping tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 c walnuts finely chopped

Directions:
Directions:
Bake 350º
1. Cream butter, eggs and sugars.
2. sift dry ingredients together and add to cream mixture.
3. Add walnuts and mix well. On a large piece of plastic wrap or wax paper shape the cookie dough into a large bar about an inch or inch and half thick. Wrap bar and chill for a couple of hours. Can be kept in refrigerator up to two months.
4. Cut into 1/4 inch slices and place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake for about 8 minutes or until firm to touch.
