1 cup sugar
1 T flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground pepper (optional)

3 large eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed pumpkin
1 cup light cream or undiluted evaporated milk
9in unbaked pie crust shell

Mix together sugar, flour, salt, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and black pepper.
Beat in eggs. Stir in pumpkin and milk. Pour into pie shell.
Bake in oven at 400 for 50 minutes or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean
