4-6 center cut pork chops, trimmed
Salt and pepper
2 Tbsp oil, if desired
1 ¾ cup water
1 cup grated cheddar cheese (or more for John )
1 small can tomato sauce
1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
2 tsp granulated garlic
¾ cup uncooked rice

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper. Brown in a skillet. Brown in the oil if desired. Place chops in a 9 x 13 glass pan that has been sprayed with PAM. Whisk together the water, tomato sauce, taco seasoning and garlic. Stir in the rice and pour over and around the chops. Cover with foil and bake at 350◦ for 1 hour. Remove foil and sprinkle the cheese over entire pan. Return to oven and bake an additional 10 minutes.
