2 c. margarine or shortening
2 c. sugar
1 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
1/4 c. milk
6 1/2 c. flour
3 t. cream of tartar
2 t. baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and sugars. Add eggs, one at a time and milk; beat well. Sift together dry ingredients; add to shortening-sugar mixture. Using 1 teaspoon dough at a time, roll into balls; place on greased cookie sheet. Flatten tops of cookies with a fork. Bake in a 350º oven until done.

I don't know who aunt Lizzie is. Not any relation of mine that I know of. She makes good cookies though.
