5 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
15 oz. box bran flakes/raisins
4 eggs
1 qt. buttermilk
5 tsp baking soda
2 tsp. ground allspice
3 c. sugar
1 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine first 4 ingredients. Add bran flakes and sugar, mix. Beat eggs, add oil. Add buttermilk and vanilla to egg mixture and blend. Pour over flour mixture and mix well. Put in a large plastic container with a tight lid. Store in refrigerator until ready to bake. Do not stir batter before using. This batter will keep for weeks. Preheat oven to 375º. Using about 1/2 c. of batter for each muffin. Use paper liners for muffin pans. Bake 20 minutes or until top springs back when touched.
