1 to 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1 med. head of cabbage, 5-6 stems of celery, 1 lg. sweet pepper (any color), 1 med. onion, 1 lg. can of beef broth, salt and pepper, 1/4 cup of sugar or splenda (measurable type), 24 oz. can of crushed tomatoes, 1 #2 cans of kidney beans (dark or light) or one of each

Brown ground beef and drain. Chop head of cabbage, celery, pepper and onion and put all in large stock pot, with ground beef. Pour beef broth over all and add water to about 2 inches above contents. Add salt, pepper and sweetener. Cook until all vegetables are tender. Add tomatoes and kidney beans, simmer for about 20 more minutes. You can add more salt, pepper, sweetener, bouillon or even chili powder to adjust the taste to your liking. You can also add more tomatoes or V8 juice for a little different flavor.
